Gold Medal Ales are produced monthly
in recognition of some of the 'greats' of history. The Trademarks Act came into being on the first of January 1876 and a luckless employee of a Burton firm of solicitors spent New Year’s Eve and night outside Trademarks House. He registered the world’s first trademark, the triangle of a prominent Burton brewer. This beer is a tribute to that forgotten hero and to Talbots Solicitors who have outlasted the brewer. The hops in this beer are good old Fuggles and Goldings and it should bear a passing resemblance to that famous triangular pale ale. |
